CDs, DVDs, Games or LP Records? YOU CAN TRADE THEM ON NEW ONES!
Most people own recordings that they will never listen to again, or movies that they will never watch. There’s no point in letting them gather dust, especially when you may get a whole lot of new stuff WITHOUT PAYING A CENT!
In fact, you can trade them on anything in our store (excluding concert tickets) - books, music, movies, games, novelty items and t-shirts. It’s really simple. Just sort through your discs, decide what you want to keep, and bring the rest to our store. Our friendly staff at the Trades Counter will appraise your items and work out a value based on condition, saleability and scarcity.
You will get the highest value for items in good condition, that are in demand, and that we don’t already have.
You’ll be given a credit note that you can use at any time. You don’t need to use it all at once – just as and when you want to. If you don’t use its full value, we will give another credit note as change.
The credit note can be used on any goods that we sell (excluding concert tickets). You can trade on new items, our guaranteed used items, or if we don’t have what you want in stock, we can special order items for you from the US or Europe, and have them here in no time – we have shipments arriving every week! You can also get your credit note converted to an e-voucher to spend on our website.
So don’t delay. Sort out those unwanted but preloved recordings and bring them in to a Real Groovy storesoon. If you are busy, and cannot spare the time at the moment, remember that it’s a great way to make a rainy weekend worthwhile.
Good quality titles in new condition are worth the most and we'll even consider complete collections of high quality recordings or movies for cash!
CDs
We're after good selling CDs in these genres - Rock, Rock n roll, Punk, 60s Pop, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Classical, Country, Folk, RnB and Soul.
LPs
If you have original LPs, EPs or 45s from the 50s, 60s and 70s by the Beatles, Stones, Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bowie, Yardbirds, Kinks, Small Faces, Hendrix, U2, AC/DC, or similar, bring them in. We're also keen on New Zealand bands from the 60s and 70s, and records on the Flying Nun, Ripper, Stunn and Propeller labels. And if you have US, British or European pressings, we are keen to buy whole collections.
DVDs
We want good Music DVDs, TV series, Foreign and Festival Films, Drama, Comedy, Horror, Thriller, Action and Kids movies (remember, they must have a NZ rating sticker).
Remember to bring photo ID to trade or sell, and all DVDs must have rating stickers.
