The sweat and blood that has gone into the making of this record is clear: tighter playing, better production values, infectious hooks, harder riffs, hotter solos. And when Deja Voodoo say blood , you know they mean it for real -- there's no stunt doubles in the bone-breakingly real world of this band.

While lesser bands plunder the past and come up with a lame pastiche, making them a sad, hard rock equivalent of Sha Na Na, Deja Voodoo could've actually been real contenders in the '70s. Or '80s. Or '90s. Luckily for us, the band is happening NOW -- and that, we can be thankful for.
