The year is 859AD and China's once flourishing Tang Dynasty is in decline. Unrest if raging throughout the land with rebel armies preparing to battle the once mighty government. The most powerful and prestigious of all these rebel armies, the House of Flying Daggers, is rapidly gaining strength under the command of an enigmatic new leader and is poised to overthrow the corrupt and unpopular government.

To quell the growing threat, the government dispatches two agents and between them, an elaborate plan is conceived. Central to their scheme is a mysterious but beautiful, blind dancer from a local brothel, whom they suspect of having ties with the secret organisation.
