Prolepsis are a four piece melodic rock band based in Auckland, New Zealand, who spontaneously combusted into existence in the late 90's.
Riley Al-Johary projects mature song-writing with a voice to be reckoned with, while Nathan Garton's guitar riffs pour out loud, thick and solid. Paul Field executes tight bass grooves that have enough gravitational force to pull the Earth out of orbit, and the experience and feral precision of Carl Hayman on Drums provides the robust backbone of this potent brew.
Prolepsis' sound can broadly be described as Melodic Rock, with subtle elements of jazz and classical influences. A spectrum of sound spans from acoustic ballads to intensified rock, which powerfully project their emphasis on emotive melodies, expressive lyrics and dynamic rhythms. With literally dozens, if not hundreds, of gigs under their belt, the band's ambition is to share their unique sound experience with as many people as possible.
Revolve was recorded at Counterpart Studios in early 2009, mastered by Angus McNaughton.
A freshly intense sound that they promise is unlike anything you have heard from the band before.
