One of the Topp Twins’ greatest strengths as entertainers is their ability to relate to ordinary people from all walks of life and create comedy from spontaneous situations. Before the advent of reality television, the Topp Twins TV Series broke new ground by taking their fictional comedy characters to sporting and cultural events, interacting with the public while also pursuing their own storylines.

In this way, the Topp Twins paid homage to recognisable cultural icons while also sending them up. Farce and slapstick are blended with original songs, spontaneity and humour.
