The World Combat League is the vision of six-time World Karate Champion and Martial Arts Media Icon, Chuck Norris. It is the culmination of his dream to combine the excitement of competitive martial arts fighting with the thrill of cheering for a favourite team and following their progress throughout an entire league season.

Chuck Norris’s goal is to create a level of success for the WCL similar to that of the NBA or NFL, providing sports fans with a level of “full throttle” martial arts action.Although there are individual bouts, contests are team events, with twelve rounds. Fighters do not win or lose matches but fight as hard as they can to maximize points for their team’s overall score.

Teams have six members (five men and one woman), all World-Class Martial Combat Athletes from three different disciplines: Kickboxing, Karate and Olympic-style Tae Kwon Do.

The rules don’t allow for any grappling, holding, clinching or stalling to encourage non-stop action and the Combat Athletes really “let it fly”. So strap yourself in and enjoy the electrifying first season of the World Combat League. It’s a KNOCKOUT!
