It is time of great evil. The Army of Darkness is rising. Into this medieval confusion arrives Ash, newly transported from the 20th Century. He is reluctantly hailed as a hero sent to oppose the deadites. Fully armed with a chainsaw, a shotgun and a '73 Sedan, he goes in search for the 'Book Of The Dead' which contains the spell to open the doorway through time.
