This raunchy, yet emotionally layered and keenly observed coming-of-age tale is awash with humour and pathos. The focus is on Julio and Tenoch, seventeen-year old best friends, who after seeing their girlfriends off on an Italian holiday, are anticipating a lazy summer of sexual frolic.

During a family wedding the boys turn their unrefined flirtation skills onto Tenoch’s stunning, twenty-eight year old cousin’s wife Luisa and impulsively invite her to accompany them on an imaginary road trip to the fictitious Boca Del Cielo (Heaven’s Mouth) beach.

Several days later, Luisa, in dire need of a change of scene, accepts their offer. Once on the road, the journey becomes one towards maturity and a tender bond develops between the three characters who are faced with a few home-truths.
