The Overseas Experiment has put together a collection of world music from eight Wellington-based artists from a variety of ethnic and musical traditions.
The tracks feature South Asian Hip Hop from Big Bada Boom, Balkan / Gypsy from Niko Ne Zna, Brazilian Xote from Brazealand, Klezmer from Klezmer Rebs, Salsa from Carlos Navae y Son Clave, Afro Beat from Sam Manzanza and the Afro-Beat Band, Reggaeton from MC Dime Jinetero and Dancehall from Stonerange feat MC Jinetero.
A small portion of the sales will be used for an ongoing project to develop musical opportunities for refugee and recent migrant background youth in Wellington.
