Archaeologist Dr. lee Helm (Jeremy London, Mallrats, 7th Heaven) and lingustics expert Dr. Carol Gage are sent to the artic to shut down an archaeological dig led by the eccentric Dr. Owen Stanford. An obscure reference on a Sumerian tablet has led Stanford to beleive he has found the site of an age old aretact that could give him unimaginable power.

According to ancient legeng, the evil Stom God Ba'al was destroyed and his power transferred into four hidden amulets: earth, air, water and fire. Whilst at the dig, they uncover the first of the four amulets amongst the ice, but Ba'al has also been awakened. The race is on for helm and Gage to crack the code and discover the remaining three amulets before Ba'al destroys everything in his path.
